Smith Group is led by Ann C. Smith, a seasoned communications practitioner with extensive experience in both corporate and agency public relations.

The foundation for Ann’s communications career began when she was an award-winning journalist at the Bloomington Courier-Tribune daily newspaper, serving as Assistant Managing Editor, and at WTTS-WGTC Radio, where she was Director of News and Public Affairs.

Ann also served as Director of Corporate Public Relations for a Fortune 500 company, Cummins, Inc. She was involved in counseling senior management on communications matters as well as employee relations, investor communications and community affairs. She led the production of the company’s award-winning annual report.

While serving as Director of Public Relations for Rosetta, a $5 million marketing communications agency located in three cities, Ann managed the work of several professionals working in two states and serving a wide variety of clients.

Today, as the owner of her own agency holding Women-owned Business Enterprise (WBE) certification from the State of Indiana, Ann offers a wide variety of communications services to various organizations, including those seeking contracts with the state.

She is a member of the Hoosier Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America, the Greater Greenwood Chamber of Commerce and the Kiwanis Club of Perry Township.
